This week, the planet Venus goes retrograde on 1st March until 12th April 2025. In astrology, Venus is associated with beauty, the arts, hobbies, relationships, connections and love. Because the planet Venus is feminine, she also relates to fertility and connections with the feminine collective.

On 1st March, Venus will be going retrograde in Aries. When a planet goes retrograde it appears to move backwards due to its relative positive to Earth.
Retrogrades are a time for reflection, healing and re-evaluation, rather than forward motion. Therefore during a Venus retrograde the feminine collective is being called to review love, relationships and the fertility journey. This may be in terms of what you love to do and what you really want. Is your fertility journey working the way you have been approaching it? From a higher perspective this brings intention, wisdom and discernment.
However, as Aries is a masculine, fire sign, ruled by the planet Mars, the masculine planet, females or those with a feminine dominant energy signature, are at their detriment when Venus is in Aries. During Venus in Aries, the shadow feminine traits can be to become impatient and impulsive, wanting to move faster than the Universe and Divine timing are indicating. There can be fiery tempers and drama.
Further into Venus retrograde in the coming months, Venus will enter Pisces which is a feminine, water sign.
And you'll discover below that Mars (representing the masculine) has just completed a time of retrogrades (emotional healing) in both Leo (male, fire) and Cancer (female, water) signs.
Which means that BOTH males and females have been or are going through a period of introspection in water and fire signs order to heal and balance BOTH their own inner divine masculine and feminine energies.
Both the male and female, Yang and Yin are being called into balance and union which is essential to create a new life.
On a positive note:
Although this is being accessed through a lack of forward motion, this is only until April.
You may find that if you naturally connect more with your male energy, you may experience breakthroughs during this time that Mars goes direct.
Or you may find that your partner does.
One way to approach healing the feminine healing from now until April 12th, is to access the other side of your energy. An innovative way of heal the feminine energy, the sacral chakra chakra and the fertility organs is by balancing and accepting your inner masculine.
Yin cannot exist without Yang, just as Yang cannot exist without Yin. Men are also being called to do this healing work, it does not just depend upon the women.
In Chinese Medicine, the organs that support the Uterus are the Heart, Spleen, Liver and Kidneys. Each of these organs needs a balance of Yin (feminine energy) and Yang (masculine energy) in order to function to their best ability and provide good egg quality, uterine lining, ovulation, a regular and healthy cycle and optimal implantation.
Blood which is Yin and feminine in nature, is very important for female fertility. But so is Qi which is energy and is masculine Yang in nature. Of the most important fertility hormones, oestrogen is Yin and progesterone is Yang. They come into play at different parts of the menstrual cycle. We need the 'feminine' oestrogen to build and nourish the lining, and the 'masculine' progesterone to strengthen the Uterus for implantation.
As in nature, with the phases of the moon (feminine), the female body is also called to ebb and flow; to nourish the blood in the follicular phase and to exercise and move the body at ovulation and before the period. If we fail to flow with the natural energies, as is so common in our modern day society of business and workplace stress, we experience stagnation, blockages and ultimately fertility issues.
So how can females work with Venus retrograde over the next few months to balance these energies within our bodies?
Balance of Yin and Yang
Let's begin by looking at the Chinese Medicine diagnoses:
Kidney Yin Deficiency and Blood Deficiency
If you have these diagnoses, this means that your feminine energy is weakened. This can be due to overwork, or simply genetics. It can also come from an energy of not feeling good enough.
Eat eggs, kale, spinach, bone broth and rest during the period and in the follicular phase. Include more meditation, yoga, journal work, inner child healing and quiet activities in your daily routine.
Kidney Yang Deficiency or Spleen Qi Deficiency
These are deficient diagnoses, meaning that you may feel tired, cold, have digestive issues, low progesterone and struggle with implantation or recurrent miscarriage. These diagnoses mean that your masculine energy is in deficit. Keep warm, eat warm foods and consider how you can embody more of the Yang energy of light, warmth and positivity into your life, particularly in the luteal phase. Include affirmations and do more of what you love,
Liver Qi Stagnation or Blood Stasis
Your Yang (male) energy is in excess. You might experience constipation, bloating, headaches, PMT and anger or frustration. Consider how males naturally get rid of excess energy and do the same: exercise, sex, nature and taking action will help you with these patterns, especially at ovulation or before your period.
Damp
Your female energy is in excess. You may have been holding onto shame, guilt, lack of self esteem in your uterus. Can you journal to clear emotional blockages? Avoid dairy, peanuts and bananas, dry your hair and keep warm. You can clear damp at any time of your cycle.
MOST fertility patients, have a mixture of the above diagnoses. That is why it is important to balance the feminine and masculine energies at the correct and appropriate time of the cycle.

Mars Direct - How This is Affecting Men
On February 23rd, Mars stationed direct in Cancer after months of retrograde energy in both Cancer and Leo. Leo is a masculine, fire sign and Cancer is a feminine water sign which relates to the family and home. .In these energies, males or masculine dominant people, represented by Mars, have been introspectively healing ready to move forwards over the next few months. On a fertility journey, this will have been necessary in order to prepare them to become healed Fathers for the highest good. You may have noticed that the men in your life have been experiencing or needing emotional healing or that the impact of their childhoods and inner child issues may have come to the forefront.
If you feel as though you have done everything you can on your fertility journey and things are still stuck, consider the following questions:
Your partner:
How does your husband or partner's energy affect your fertility journey?
Is there healing that he or she needs to do in addition to yours?
What was their childhood like, and how might it affect their beliefs as a parent?
Do you feel supported and part of a cohesive team on this fertility journey?
Issues may arise such as:
Male factor issues, such as sperm count - how does this make your partner feel?
Does your partner want this as much as you?
How does your husband's relationship with his parents affect how you feel about bringing a child into the family?
For those of you who are using donor eggs or donor sperm, do you have any doubts or questions still to discuss with your partner?
Have you energetically cut chords with exes, especially from toxic connections, or could their energy still be in your space?
How do you feel about your Dad? Could abandonment issues be the next step to work on on your journey?
These are big energies and can be upsetting and triggering to deal with. But use the time in Venus retrograde to reflect, re-evaluate and re-balance and if you do, the Universe is supporting you with massive breakthroughs.
Yang energy is fast and dynamic!
When men choose to heal, or when you choose to heal your masculine energy, it can be done with rapid progression and breakthroughs.
I believe in you!
